The Fireworks program can be extended to do more work and ease by using Fireworks Extensions by Macromedia or other developers. It has a much more powerful and flexible Batch processing system compared to Adobe's® Photoshop® softwares. The latest version of Fireworks was Fireworks 8, part of Macromedia Studio 8. Now since, Adobe® has acquired Macromedia, we'll have to wait and see what the future for Fireworks is.
